Czarface and Frankie Pulitzer

I’m pretty sure Austin Kleon turned me onto hip-hop supergroup Czarface when we were chatting about our shared love of MF DOOM and King Geedorah. I’ve become a devoted fan, and have been in awe of just how much work they put out.

Recenty they teased two new tracks from an upcoming record, “Czarface meets Frankie Pulitzer”, announcing them alongside some lyric videos by Alex Pint.

The new tracks are (as the kids say) dope, and probably the best featuring Frankie Pulitzer that I’ve heard. So you can imagine my surprise that after the tiniest amount of digging it turns out that Frankie ‘Face Puller’ Pulitzer is … Tom Hardy.

Wild.

The new album is out on August 28, and in the meantime it’s worth also checking out this video of 7L walking through how much of his beat archive is on cassette.
