One of the things that’s been keeping my spirits up has been Erika Hall and Mike Monteiro’s Quarantine Book Club. Most weekdays at 10am Australian Eastern Standard Time, they host a fun hour where authors talk about their work and participate in a good-natured Q+A with participants from around the world.

To be honest, it’s pretty much been the one thing that’s stopped me hating Zoom. During a time of Lockdown, they’ve helped authors from all over the planet launch their books, talk about their work, and just connect with people. My friend Rita Therese launched her first book Come there. They interviewed Chuck Tingle! It’s an unmitigated delight.

Next week they’ve got Marieke Hardy — one of Australia’s true creative powerhouses. It’s going to be an absolute blast, and I hope you’ll join us for a great hour with an wonderful person. Check it out and join us!
