Back to Alex on the couch. I can’t remember from whom I first heard this observation (Adam? Neven? I looked on your tumblrs but couldn’t find the passage I have in mind. A little help with attribution, anyone?), but the upshot of it was that, to a young kid whose first experience with “computers” is via the iPad (or another, yet-to-exist, well designed multi-touch UI), the keyboard+mouse interaction model will forever seem archaic, confusingly indirect, and needlessly complicated. Let me tell you, I’m watching the blunt and undeniable truth of this unfold before me, only 10 feet away.
